Lake Ridge Nursery has officially made lifetime customers out of us, and it’s all thanks to the brilliant, vibrant energy of Riley! My husband, sister, nephew, and I walked in completely clueless about indoor plants, but Riley greeted us so warmly that we instantly felt right at home. The four of us were practically tag-teaming her—bombarding her with an endless firing squad of questions all at once—and Riley handled it with absolute grace, endless patience, and the warmest smile. She didn't just sell us plants; she gave us a masterclass! She walked us through lighting preferences, expert repotting techniques, specific soil blends, and even picked out moss totems so our climbers could latch on and scale vertically. Thanks to her tailored guidance, we happily picked out four stunning plants (including a fragrant Jasmine and a gorgeous Hibiscus) worth a few hundred dollars. Her incredible service didn't stop at the counter, either. When we asked about logistics, Riley seamlessly arranged home delivery on the spot, took all our information, and then personally called us after we got home to give us an update on when our plants would arrive. The only time she seemed even remotely ba

This is a very cute local plant nursery, and I genuinely enjoy having a small independent shop like this in the area. The space itself is charming, and it’s a fun place to bring the kids or stop by when family is visiting from out of town. It definitely has a nice atmosphere and feels like a pleasant outing. That said, it’s almost impossible for me to justify actually shopping here. Many of the prices—whether for plants or small shop items like aprons, coasters, and other goods—are extremely high. For example, I saw a four-pack of acrylic coasters priced around $50 that likely cost less than $15 to produce. It really surprised me. I completely understand that small businesses have higher overhead and need to price accordingly, but in many cases the same plants appear to come from the same suppliers you’d find at larger retailers like Lowe’s, where they’re often half the price or less. Because of that, it’s hard not to compare. Overall, I still enjoy visiting the shop as a local experience and think it’s a cute place to walk around, but the pricing makes it difficult to support as a regular place to buy plants or household items.

I love this place so I hate to leave a review like this, but I’ve been very disappointed in their Christmas trees the last two years. This year I spent $150 on a decent tree that passed the “shake test” at the nursery, but after a week of being in the house (always with water and fertilizer), the needles began falling out with just a tap of the tree. It sucks cause trees are astronomically expensive these days, and this one didn’t even make it until Christmas. I don’t want to get a fake tree, but it’s looking like the more financially responsible option these days.

In September 2021 a friend asked me to be his project manager to rescape the front courtyard of his house, which was a hodgepodged look. My apartment was across the street from Lake Ridge Nursery, so that was one of the nurseries I interviewed and the got the contract! I was asked by my friend to make the design decisions, and Donny (owner of Lake Ridge Nursery) wonderfully indulged my request for a tour of the options at his location, and even gave me samples of what I thought best to test against the house of my friend. Donny's team did an amazing job with the paving, including planting to large crepe myrtles that added great curb appeal that made the HOA give my friend a shout out at more than one meeting. Since then, my friend and I have gotten married, and now I get to live with this amazing courtyard that Lake Ridge Nursery installed!

Beautiful nursery with a nice selection of shrubs and flowers. We stopped in during October and a lot of the space was dedicated to mums and pumpkins. We were in need of 14 trees and shrubs and the prices at this nursery are really high! Like $50 to $160 for a shrub and over $200 for a crepe myrtle. We didn’t buy anything from the Lake Ridge Nursery. We ended up going to a big box home improvement store and finding the same trees and shrubs for 40-60% less. It’s a shame because I’d prefer to spend my money at a local nursery, but the prices need to be more affordable.
